Accomplishing what was thought to be impossible, the fledgling company developed PolarizedPlus®, unprecedented technology that eliminated glare without compromising the island’s vibrant colors. PolarizedPlus® was then incorporated into seven new sunglass styles – their Classic Collection. And with that, Maui Jim was born.

Glare is completely eliminated with the Maui Jim PolarizedPlus®2 lens protecting the wearer from all 3 types of glare - Direct Glare, Reflected Glare and Bounce Back Glare - like no other sunglass. The PolarizedPlus®2 lens also manages Blue Light (light that is needed to see a balance of colours) and boosts colours for unmatched colours,clarity and contrast. (Normal lenses do not block out all glare types and mismanage blue light, resulting in visual pollution)
